Amika’s Perk up dry shampoo is made with rice starch which allows dirt and oil to be absorbs from you hair, increases volume, and improves the texture of your hair. This is the best way to wash your hair without using water leaving it feeling and looking refreshed.

This is my favorite dry shampoo out there. Not only does it absorb the oil and dirt which makes my hair temporarily refreshed, but it also adds volume to it! It also smells really nice and lasts a long time, I highly recommend.

Amika Dry Shampoo- Other Reviews

“was so delighted to receive the full size Perk Up Dry Shampoo from Amika.I have fallen head-over-heels for Amika in the last two months. Not only are the products truly exceptional, but the SCENT IS AMAZING! I am not a fan of fragrance in my skincare, but I am addicted to the scent of Amika products and I get compliments on it everywhere I go, if someone gets close! . I have fairly short, light blond hair, and though it is not oily at all, it gets smashed down when I sleep. I use this in the morning to pump up the volume in my hair, and I love it! This product uses no talc! It uses rice powder to absorb dirt and oil, and it adds volume and texture to your hair without adding any white powdery cast EVER. It is safe for all hair, including Brazilian treated and keratin treated, and has no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, mineral oil or petrolatum, or sodium chloride. It’s also vegan and cruelty free. What more could you ask for?”

“I’ve tried every hair brand Sephora carries that has a dry shampoo. My favorite was Living Proof but it just was way too expensive. I don’t personally like the non-aerosol ones because I make a mess so I can’t speak to those options. Out of the aerosol versions, Amika is now my absolute favorite. For the price you actually get a lot more product. Also loveeee the smell. Clean meets floral without being too overpowering. Comes out of the can easily. Doesn’t leave a gross white dust all over your clothes and surface of your hair – it actually clings to your hair particularly when you need it to because of the oil. The only downside is that because of that last trait it does create some product buildup on your scalp so you have to be careful to go light if you want to use it more than one day in a row.”

“This product is a good option for people who , for whatever reason, want to extend the time between full washes of their hair. In my case, my hair is loc’ed and I like to wash as little as possible after my hair has been freshly retwisted. I also work out daily, so I need a way to keep my hair clean without disturbing the locs. This product gets the job done. My hair and scalp feel clean and smells good afterward. The scent is nice and fresh–kind of a cross between musk and powder. The scent smells great when you first put it on, but then dissipates quickly as the day goes on. The one big drawback to this product is that it leaves a very noticeable chalky residue. My hair is jet black and the product looks like chalk on a blackboard on it. Although it is a little annoying, it is fairly easy to get the residue off. With locs, I am unable to brush the residue out, but it is not too difficult to get the residue out with a spritz of water and gentle rubbing.”

“Let me start off by saying that I’ve been a VIB Rougue for 5 years and this is the FIRST review I’ve ever left. I have super fine hair that I’m in the process of trying to go and therefore am trying not to wash it everyday. I’ve tried lots of Dry Shampoos from high end (Living Proof, Bumble and Bumble) to drugstore (Batiste, Kristen Ess, etc.) and nothing has actually worked, until THIS PRODUCT. It actually makes my stringy morning hair seem freshly washed if I use it properly. Basically I spray it right at my roots, where I’d typically get greasy and I wait about 30 seconds before brushing it through. Here’s where the magic happens, it almost doesn’t seem to do anything and then after a few minutes it’s amazing. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t leave tons of volume but I use Pret-a-Powder for some volume. If you’re on the fence seriously BUY IT. Worth the $20 you’d spend on coffee :)”
